Metal Quality
Ultrium® is a non-precious metal alloy. In the early 1970’s, Herff Jones created White Ultrium, a non-precious, stainless alloy, which has been the choice of many for its beauty and affordability. White Ultrium is incredibly strong and durable minimizing scratches and abrasions. Since it does not tarnish, the beauty and brilliance of White Ultrium remains unaffected for years.

Extreme Silver Alloy™ - Alloy that contains 84.3% silver, 10% platinum, and 5.7% other metals.
Gold - Gold enhances the beauty and quality of your Herff Jones Ring and provides long-lasting value. All Herff Jones gold rings begin from bars of pure gold. Metallurgists blend the gold with other metals such as silver and copper for durability. The proportion of gold in jewelry is measured in Karats (K). Pure gold is 24K. 18K gold is 18/24 (75%) pure gold. 14K gold is 14/24 pure gold. 10K gold is 10/24 pure gold. The remaining parts are comprised of other fine metals.
